STYX MILL CC PAVILION

I had the pleasure of hosting a school holiday fun afternoon at the Styx Mill Country Club pavilion with story-time and activities for ages 2-6, on Wednesday, 30th September 2026. πŸŽˆπŸ“š 

We had a blast! There was music and movement between the stories which included balloon fun, flamingo dance moves, bubble fun and a treasure hunt! 🎈🫧

Some of my stories had no pictures, so everyone had to use their imagination. πŸ’­

 All the families were amazing and a pleasure to chat with. Children enjoyed being creative with their book-related craft activities too.

TAMARIKI BOOK FESTIVAL

26th September 2026

We had such a wonderful day at the Spellbound Tamariki Book Festival! on Saturday 26th September 2026. Over 1,000 attendees!

A massive thanks to all the gorgeous families who visited us. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with you and seeing your children have a blast with all the fun activities and prizes. The atmosphere was amazing.

Well done and thankyou to @tamarikibookfest team and all the talented authors for their creative work and efforts to make this festival so special for everyone involved.

Thank you to my fabulous fairground assistants/daughters, Molly and Emma. I'm super proud of your efforts to engage with families and their Tamariki. We had so much fun together!

NZ CHILDREN'S BOOK WEEK

15th August 2026

We started NZ Children's Book Week with a fun morning at Piccadilly Bookshop, Avonhead Mall on Saturday, 15th August 2026. 🎈

Emma & I had such a wonderful time connecting with many locals. Thank you to everyone for being so lovely and kind. I appreciated you taking the time to stop and chat.

We loved giving away free balloons, ReadNZ colouring competition sheets and being part of the nationwide community encouraging children to love books.
